really there hasnt been much point. i havent done anything amazing that isnt already posted by 50 other people. lately its just the basic jailbreak unlock load some stuff for the person fix a few screens etc.
i have heard though that a solution is found for bootrom and baseband stuff. cannot wait to see this the world will be a better place when this happens.
untill then redsnow is the best way to go with the ability to upgrade to ipad firmware on 4.1 and i believe 4.2.1 this has worked fine for me on a few phones.
there is talk that it might cause issues in future versions so just watch out for posts before upgrading past current versions.
